Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Groysman has told the 112 Ukraina TV channel that the system of the decentralization of local budgets has to be preserved.
"The budget we obtained from the Government does tackle this issue, instead it considerably worsens the decentralization thus, we have to regulate it," he said. At the same time, he noted that Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk supported the Parliament therefore, the issues would surely be regulated.
Speaking about the development of small and mid-sized business, the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada said that this business must be allowed to develop properly. He said that in 2015, the Parliament has to adopt accurate tax code in first reading on the basis of the draft offered by the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Taxation and Customs Policy.
According to the Chairperson of the Ukrainian Parliament, the draft tax code requires comprehensive adaptation to introduce "a predictable system of taxes" from the start of the second half of 2016. "The people have to understand how that system works. It should be implemented as is done in all European countries — avoiding numerous mistakes," he noted.
