The Bill (Reg. No. 2004) aims at introducing excise tax labels to mark vodka and liquor-vodka production (due to percentage of ethyl alcohol) with the following denotations: "content of ethyl alcohol up to 25% of volume units", "content of ethyl alcohol up to 25% - 37% of volume units" and "content of ethyl alcohol 37 % and more of volume units". The Bill also establishes sanctions for no-purpose use of excise labels.
The Bill presumes suspension of duties on the development of vinegrowing, gardening and hop growing from 2008.
According to People´s Deputy P. Klymets, the author of the Bill, introduced changes "will render it impossible to evade paying excise tax to the budget; they will reduce corruption and support national manufacturers of spirits".
