Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Groysman has noted the importance of state support of Ukrainian cinematography, book publishing and librarianship.

"We have decided that the adoption of draft laws touching the development of culture in Ukraine requires particular attention of the Verkhovna Rada. It is very expedient and we will manage to tackle the issue in the frames of the "topic-based days" at the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine," he said at the meeting of the Conciliatory Council.

"We surely have to support Ukrainian book publishing, the Ukrainian book, and Ukrainian cinematography. These are the fields requiring our support," Groysman said. "Speaking about the book publishing in the frames of the budget decentralization, local governments have sufficient amount of resource to ensure subscription for periodical publications, to replenish the libraries' funds," he added.
