Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Groysman calls on representatives of local self-government bodies to work jointly with the deputy corps to elaborate key draft laws on reforms.
"Next year, we have to understand what education and health care systems Ukraine needs. It will be our common task," Groysman said after the meeting with representatives of all-Ukrainian associations of local self-government bodies on Friday.
Groysman also called on representatives of local governments to involve in the work on the draft law on municipal watchdog. "Municipal watchdog is the instrument allowing to restore control and protect that control over the sanitary state of population centers. These are the instruments that must be at your 100-percent disposal," he said.
The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada called restoration of the national economy "the top-priority for 2016." "We have to offer a model that will ensure economic growth and allow you to play direct part in the economic development of territories. I would like you to be active in implementation of the law on associations," Groysman said, having instructed the Verkhovna Rada Secretariat to adhere to the implementation of this law during the elaboration of draft laws on different aspects of local self-government functioning.
Groysman also reminded about his initiative to establish the For Decentralization of Power interfactional association at the Ukrainian Parliament.
"New views, new energy — are very important. Now you are starting to work in important and interesting conditions. You receive more instruments, more opportunities, and you can be more efficient as you have great lobby at the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, support of the President and the Cabinet of Ministers," the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada said.
