Ukraine and the European Union have to jointly overcome the challenges, the whole European continent is currently facing.

"Two years ago, the Ukrainian people took to the streets to declare their strong opposition to dictatorship, to show their respect to democratic values, to express their desire to join the European family," he said.

Groysman added that currently, Ukraine is facing "serious challenges" — both internal and external ones. However, he noted, this tough time is "the real restoration, re-establishment of Ukraine" as a modern European state. "We do feel solidarity of the European Union. We are grateful for your strong support. We have to jointly restore peace on the continent and show that the aggressor's place is in its own state and that no one has the right to breach the fundamental values — territorial integrity of a country and state sovereignty." "We have to overcome this challenge together," the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada noted.

Groysman also noted that today the Ukrainian Parliament is supported by the European Parliament in the implementation of internal reforms. He said that the elaboration of the Report and the Roadmap on the internal reformation and increase of institutional capacity of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine had been launched. The Report and the Roadmap will be elaborated in the frames of the work of the Needs Assessment Mission of the European Parliament at the Verkhovna Rada.

"We have to revive the parliamentarianism and do our best to ensure effective work of the Ukrainian Parliament," the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada said.

Over 70 young politicians from 30 European countries took part in the event.
