The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine appointed Yulia Tymoshenko, the BYuT Leader, Prime Minister of Ukraine

This was as a result of the voting returns announced by the Chairman of the Returning Board of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Mykola Shershun.

 

227 People's Deputies took part in the Roll-call vote: 156 Deputies of The BYuT Faction and 70 Deputies of ' Our Ukraine People's Self-Defence' Faction.

 

The Party of Regions, CPU, and The Lytvyn Bloc Factions did not vote.

 

The Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Arseniy Yatseniuk, signed the Resolution appointing Yu. Tymoshenko Prime Minister of Ukraine.
