The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has obtained a chance to change the history of our state through holding of the decentralization reform.
Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Groysman said this at the conference entitled "Constitutional reform in Ukraine: achievements and prospects" in Kyiv on Thursday.
"300 people's deputies will always be able to change the course of the history of our state," Groysman said. "This is a key reform that will allow involving energy, intelligence and skills of millions of people in the development of the European Ukraine," the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada said, having wished deputies "wisdom and responsibility."
Groysman said the country "cannot wait any longer." The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada expressed confidence saying "we cannot move further less amending the Constitution," less guaranteeing authorities of local self-government at the constitutional level.
Groysman also noted the necessity to establish a workgroup formed of people's deputies and experts to elaborate new legal framework on the development of constitutional amendments.
