Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Groysman has urged the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Fuel and Energy Complex, Nuclear Policy and Nuclear Safety to settle the issue of electric energy supplies to the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

"The Ukrainian Parliament has to define its position as to particularly important events that took place last week," Groysman said in his opening speech at the Conciliatory Council meeting on Monday.

"The Crimean issue: I believe we have to give a clear estimate to what is happening there now," he said.

"I'd like to ask respective Committee to clarify the general state of affairs. We should not ignore that situation. I believe we can take part in the settlement of the situation," the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada said.
