Verkhovna Rada Chairperson Volodymyr Groysman calls for introducing tougher responsibility of people's deputies for unparliamentary conduct.
"Fights where participants are people's deputies are completely disgraceful and is an inadmissible practice no matter against whom physical force was applied," Verkhovna Rada Chairperson Volodymyr Groysman told the press in response to a question in Khmelnytskyi on Friday. He emphasized that incidents of the sort are condemned by most of people's deputies. "I think people's deputies must find political will to toughen responsibility for unparliuametnary conduct inside the Parliament and outside it," he said. "We need to react adequately to see this never happens again and this can be achieved through stricter responsibility, as in some cases a deputy shelters oneself behind the immunity and can do virtually anything without taking responsibility for the actions," he said.
