Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Groysman is confident that the Ukrainian Parliament has potential to finally adopt the amendments to the Constitution of Ukraine.
"We have the potential of 300 votes. There are just the ones, who are a bit disoriented," Groysman said at the meeting with representatives of unified territorial communities, local self-government bodies, executive authorities of the Khmelnytskyi region and non-government organizations on Friday.
Groysman also noted that the pro-European majority of the Verkhovna Rada "had managed to adopt every important decision" in the sector of economy, in the sector of European integration and liberalization of the visa regime, cooperation with international financial institutions, etc. "There is potential to work effectively," he noted. At the same time, Groysman noted that "someone is trying to destabilize the situation trying to shift the scenario." The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada said that snap parliamentary election would not be expedient as they might destabilize the situation in Ukraine.
