Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Groysman considers that populism in politics today is absolutely unacceptable.

"I'd like to note: corruption, Russian troops, populism, other serious systemic problems are equal in their essence. Either populism, Russian troops or corruption can trigger huge problems for our state, which is unacceptable," Groysman told the press in the city of Khmelnytskyi on Friday.

"I am confident and demand more responsibility for the taken political steps," he said. "Only when we manage to obtain average European salaries, higher pensions, developed local self-government, new jobs, we will have the right to get down to populism. But now, in current complicated situation, that is absolutely unacceptable. The people demand politicians be responsible," Groysman said.
