Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Groysman has commemorated the Heroes of the Nebesna Sotnia (activists killed during the mass rallies of Euromaidan that took place in the center of Kyiv between December 2013 and February 2014) and soldiers from Ivano-Frankivsk region killed in antiterrorist operation zone.
The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada laid flowers to the tombs of the soldiers killed in the ATO zone and buried at the old Ivano-Frankivsk cemetery near the site, where Sich Riflemen [one of the first regular military units of the Army of the Ukrainian People's Republic. The unit operated from 1917 to 1919 and was formed from Ukrainian soldiers of the Austro-Hungarian army, local population and former commanders of the Ukrainian Sich Riflemen in Austria-Hungary] were buried. He also talked to relatives of the Nebesna Sotnia Heroes.
As earlier reported, on Wednesday, Groysman was on his working visit to Ivano-Frankivsk.
