"The Verkhovna Rada, all political parties, coalition, opposition, independent groups and factions must do their best to adopt respective draft laws," Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Groysman said in an interview for the Rada channel on Friday.
"We have to bear personal responsibility for the adoption of the laws," he said.
The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada noted particular importance of the European integration of Ukraine. "These are not only the documents we can ratify and sign. These should be clear actions of the authorities. The decision that would make our state a full member of the European family. The European integration is the process leading Ukrainian citizens to much better standards of life," he said.
In his words, one of the European integration's elements is the introduction of the visa-free regime with the EU member countries. He stressed that the regime required adoption of respective draft laws aimed at combating corruption. The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada stated that efficient voting for a number of draft laws did not take place on Thursday, however, he expressed confidence that next Tuesday, those draft laws would be adopted.
"I am confident, we still have a chance. I am confident we will find an opportunity to adopt them on Tuesday," Groysman said.
Groysman informed he had urged relevant Verkhovna Rada committees to immediately hold meetings to regulate all the disputable terms and bring them in line with the European standards.
The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada called on the colleagues to abandon personal ambitions and start thinking about Ukraine and the Ukrainians. "The people have to feel gradual steps in our European integration and changes in their life," Groysman said.
He also noted that combating corruption would assist economic development of the country and growth of living standards of the Ukrainian citizens.
"Ukraine does not need constant quarrels. There is Ukraine, we have to serve the state and its society," Groysman said.
