The Committee on Justice is considering the Bill on Amendments to Article 18 of the Law "On Executive Proceedings" (re the Start of Proceedings whilst Implementation of the Foreign Courts' Decisions)

A Bill (Reg. No. 3729) was worked out to coordinate the procedure of obligatory implementation of foreign courts´ decisions (with the permit of court of Ukraine) with the Civil Procedural Code of Ukraine and international agreements of Ukraine.

According to the People´s Deputy Yu. Miroshnychenko, the author of the Bill, "The content of the Bill runs as follows: a State executor starts executive proceedings whilst obligatory implementation of the foreign court´s decision on the grounds of decision of the court of Ukraine concerning granting a permit on obligatory implementation of the foreign court´s decision in Ukraine and act of execution issued on its basis. The appeal of creditor during the implementation of the foreign court´s decision is not necessary."

According to the author, the adoption of the Bill should secure implementation of the foreign courts´ decisions in the shortest terms.
