The Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine stressed the necessity of Power Decentralization as a means of preventing the establishment of a Dictatorship in Ukraine.
Speaking at the Bila Tserkva Agrarian University (city of Bila Tserkva, Kyiv Region) on Tuesday 25 September, O. Moroz stated that political reforms concerning the Authorities and rights of local communities and councils formed by them should be completed.
‘There must be no competition between the branches of power at Regional and District level. The leadership must be formed by those political forces enjoying the highest level of public support,´ O. Moroz said.
According to the Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ukraine must choose the European Administration with no diarchy, and with elected bodies being invested with total power within a given locality.
‘The President and his team are against these changes,´- O. Moroz said, and therefore ‘they intend to legalize Dictatorship in the revised Constitution.´
‘Being concerned with the Nation´s prospects, we should not allow this scenario to take hold,´ - O. Moroz stressed. He added that rejection of Centralization will contribute strongly to overcoming corruption, and generate within the people a responsible attitude towards their political duty and political choice.
