Dear compatriots,

Over 70 years ago, the World War Two took millions of human lives all over the world.

That war was a great tragedy for our country, which lost one fifth of its population and was left almost totally ruined. Thus, the Liberation Day became a great holiday.

Today we express our respect to those few veterans, who still live among us, and thank all those, who have unfortunately passed away. I would like to expressed deep respect to all those, who made effort to liberate Ukraine from nazis and brought up the generation that managed to make Ukraine an independent state.

Dear veterans, your courage and bravery have become the example for the thousands of young people, who now defend our native land.

This day, I wish all of us peace and concordance.

Volodymyr GROYSMAN
