Last non-plenary week, Ukrainian parliamentarians worked in the parliamentary committees, interagency work groups, and took part in interagency and International councils.
The people's deputies had consultations with domestic and international experts.
In particular employees of the Secretariat of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Legislative Support to Enforcement had a meeting with European experts to fulfill all technical criteria touching introduction of the visa-free regime with the EU.
At the same time, representatives of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security and Defense took part in the international expert council dedicated to the protection of important infrastructure.
The Verkhovna Rada Committee on Science and Education had the first meeting of the workgroup as to the elaboration of the draft law "On scientific and scientific-technological activity."
Besides, the parliamentary committees had their off site meetings. During its offsite meeting in Dnipropetrovsk, the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Budget Affairs studied the situation with financial provision of Dnipropetrovsk region as to the decentralization of inter-budgetary relations. The Committee decided to send recommendations on implementation of the Law of Ukraine "On state budget of Ukraine for 2015" and formation of the State Budget for 2016 for consideration of the Government.
Some committees held roundtables, in particular with the participation of people's deputies/representatives of the Government, Presidential Administration as well as representatives of non-government organizations.
The Verkhovna Rada Committee on Human Rights, National Minorities and Interethnic Relations held roundtable entitled "Models of cooperation of national and international bodies on investigation into international crimes and judicial consideration of such crimes."
The Verkhovna Rada Committee on Legal Policy and Justice held roundtable entitled "State and prospects of reformation of advocateship in Ukraine."
The Verkhovna Rada Committee on Public Health conducted roundtable entitled "Protection of rights of patients in Ukraine and ways to improve it."
Besides, parliamentary committees worked on amendments to the effective laws.
In particular, the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Combating Corruption considered a number of draft laws regarding their correspondence to the terms of the anti-corruption legislation.
The Verkhovna Rada Committee on Construction, City Planning, and Housing-Public Utility Economy had a meeting dedicated to the functioning of enterprises of the housing and public utilities sector to hold the heating season of 2015/2016.
Besides, a delegation of Ukrainian Parliament took part in a regular session of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly.
