Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Groysman said this opening the Monday meeting of the conciliatory council.
"We need systemic, quality work, systemic, quality laws able to address the problems the state is currently facing," he said.
Groysman reminded about the adoption of the Plan for Legislative Support to Reforms, which includes 488 laws, inter alia a number of top-priority ones aimed at the implementation of strategic tasks. In particular, during current session, a total of 70 important legislative acts would have to be eyed, he added.
According to Groysman, this plenary week, it is planned to consider 23 draft laws from the Plan for Legislative Support to Reforms.
The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada said that on Tuesday, the people's deputies would be offered to consider the draft laws on raise of defense capacity in energy, economic and financial sectors, including anti-monopoly draft laws. On Wednesday, the parliamentarians will have to eye a number of issues touching Ukraine's international obligations, organizational issues of the parliamentary work. For Thursday, the agenda envisions consideration of a set of draft laws aimed at the implementation of tasks on introduction of visa-free regime with the European countries, a number of legislative acts of economic and financial focus, as well as the ones on some elements of the judicial system. On Friday, the Verkhovna Rada will host "an hour of questions to the Government of Ukraine," announcement of deputy requests and issues of socio-humanitarian sector.
The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada suggested that all people's deputies join further work over the Plan and determine the importance of adoption of specific laws. He reminded that at present, the Verkhovna Rada has 2,000 registered draft laws to be eyed. "We consider only 7% of the registered draft laws. It's probably high time to see and analyze these laws: probably they are not so expedient to waste time of the committees and people's deputies," he said.
