The Verkhovna Rada can take important policy decisions, Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Groysman told the Espresso TV channel on Thursday.

Groysman gave an example of the adoption of anticorruption laws and the laws on restructure of the state and state-secured debt as well as the introduction of amendments into the state budget as to the raise of the living and minimum wages.

The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada said "most of the parliamentarians can do professional work," despite presence of destructive forces.

"It is very important to find solutions able to allow Ukraine to become a real European state. That is very important," the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada noted. "We have come to the Parliament not to say who is better and who is worse at the session hall, but to elaborate high-quality product. I see my personal role in all this in the reformation of the Parliament. The Ukrainian Parliament should be public, open, accessible for the citizens. The Parliament should stop being a printing-office, which prints non-quality products, but should become a factory that produces good laws," Groysman said.
