Groysman: visit of Prime Minister of Lithuania Algirdas Butkevicius to Ukraine will facilitate further effective development of bilateral relations

Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Groysman is confident that the visit of Prime Minister of the Republic of Lithuania Algirdas Butkevicius to Ukraine will facilitate further effective development of the Ukraine-Lithuania relations, in particular, the interparliamentary ones.

The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada expressed confidence that the support of the world community, joint resistance to the aggressor will guarantee peace in Ukraine and on the European continent.

In turn, Butkevicius said Lithuania supports Ukraine's efforts on the way to introduction of reforms and the European integration.

The prime minister of the Republic of Lithuania also said his country strongly condemns the violation of the international law by the Russian Federation.

Groysman and Butkevicius pointed out the importance of strict adherence to the Minsk agreements by all the parties. He also noted the necessity for the increase of the defense capacity of the European countries.
