The General Committee on Democracy, Human Rights and Humanitarian Issues of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Adopted the Resolution "On the Implementation of the OSCE Commitments"

The Resolution was adopted after consideration of fifty five amendments to it and includes the following parts: "Democracy as Universal Moral Value", "Development of Political Liberties", "Holding Democratic Election. The OSCE Monitoring", "Development of Participation Principle in Democratic Process", "Transparency and Corruption Control", "Migration", "Protection of National Minorities. Freedom of Religion", "Cooperation in the Field of Development".

In the Resolution the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly confirms its conviction that substantial progress can be achieved only by observing ethical principles and values. According to the Resolution, every political action should be based on respect of human dignity and public liberties, therefore the OSCE participating States should always confirm their allegiance to the development of aforementioned values.

The members of Parliamentary Assembly emphasize the importance of freedom of speech and liberty of conscience; declare their support of the freedom of the press, freedom of assembly, participation in democratic election, equity principle. 

The OSCE Parliamentary Assembly calls for consolidation of parliaments as institutes of direct democratic legitimacy and important channels through which citizens authorize their representatives.The parliament members also call for securing the compliance of electoral legislation with the requirements of pluralism, transparency, equal opportunities and freedom of speech.

The Parliamentary Assembly supports struggle against mafia as criminal organization, the necessity of intensifying the struggle against human traffic, especially involving women and children, as the form of exploiting and humiliation of human dignity.

As far as the solution of migration issue is concerned, the Parliamentary Assembly calls on State institutions for choosing optimal method of achieving these aims by combining cultural identities of the countries, because their diversity enriches the world community etc.
