Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Groysman has opened the plenary meeting of the Constitutional Commission to consider the draft law on introduction of decentralization amendments into the Constitution of Ukraine.

Groysman noted that "such an approach in the draft constitutional amendments has found support and approval in the preliminary conclusions of the Venice Commission." "That means that our amendments are fully in line with the European standards," the Head of the Verkhovna Rada noted.

Groysman also informed about major innovations of the draft law.

"I hope we will find President's support to our decision, as well as the support of the Prime Minister and the Parliament to adopt the constitutional amendments with 300 votes," he said.
