Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Groysman says that the decentralization reform in Ukraine is almost the same as the de-usurpation of power.

He reminded that all the post-Soviet countries of Central and Eastern Europe have passed the way of decentralization and all of them succeeded in their development thanks to it.

The Head of the Verkhovna Rada explained that the decentralization reform envisions transfer of authorities to settle local problems to the lower, basic level, the level of communities, as well as it envisions providing communities with own financial resources, which would make them capable of tackling these problems.

The Head of the Verkhovna Rada said that the President, Parliament and the Government are today united in the idea to hold the reform of decentralization of power.
