The Committee on Science and Education considered the draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine “On the approval of the list of subject areas and specialties that are used for training higher education applicants”

Having granted a hearing to the information of the Committee Chair Liliia Hrynevych and First Deputy Chairperson of the Minister of Science and Education of Ukraine I.Sovsun concerning the list of subject areas and specialties that are used for training higher education applicants, and having considered speeches of several other participants of the meeting, the Committee decided that the document requires refinement.   

Compiling the list of subject areas and specialties that are used for training higher education applicants aims at ensuring a well-coordinated cooperation between the national education systems, science and economy, as well as harmonizing it with the European dimension of higher education and international systems of education classification, etc.  

Committee decided that it is necessary to refine the draft Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine “On the approval of the list of subject areas and specialties that are used for training higher education applicants” and take into account the list of proposals made by representatives of academic community.
