The bill (Reg. No. 2171) stipulates that the central body of executive
power that implements state policy in the sphere of e-government shall
establish a single state web portal of open data and determine that information
released on such web portal is public information in the form of open data and
might be further freely used and distributed. Committee members upheld also the bill on amendments to article 28 of the Budget Code of Ukraine re access to information on budgetary figures in the form of open data (Reg. No. 2172), which was elaborated to secure implementation of the right of a person to free access to budgetary information, as well as ensure transparency of activity of state bodies and bodies of local self government.
Committee members took into consideration that the bills were referred by the President of Ukraine and determined as urgent ones.
Committee members decided to recommend leadership of the National Bank of Ukraine bring its subordinate legislation in line with requirements of the Law “On Access to Public Information.”
