During the live speech on Inter TV channel on Sunday, Volodymyr Groysman informed that the Government has referred around 15 respective bills to the Verkhovna Rada and today the Coalition Council has “quite meaningfully discussed these bills.”
According to him, committees meetings will take place on Monday morning and the proposals will be systematized. Then there will be another meeting with participation of the Prime Minister and under the chairmanship on the Head of the Parliament.
“We will come to the session hall at 4 p.m. to vote for these laws,” he said.
Volodymyr Groysman stressed that “we are facing lots of challenges.” “We should put aside politics and discuss the state of affairs we have – there is a war, unplanned budgetary expenditures for defense, decline in economy, and problematic exchange rate of national currency,” he underlined. “Today the question lies in stabilizing the situation,” he added.
Volodymyr Groysman said that in order to fulfill this task we need the IMF tranche and we need to adopt legislative acts directed to optimizing budgetary expenditures, restoring the country, reforming its economy, fighting corruption, decentralizing power, building a fair court system and increasing the defense capacity.
IMF tranche, said Chair of the Parliament, “will stabilize the situation against disturbances, and what is more important – Ukraine should be reformed during this period,”
“If we fail to build a quality government system, we won’t be able to succeed. That is why decentralization is the issue number one: to render authority, responsibility and funds to the places,” claimed Volodymyr Groysman. “The first steps in this direction have already been made, and this process needs to be accelerated,” he added.
“This is an important priority,” he added.
