Chairperson of the Committee on Science and Education Liliia Hrynevych participated in press conference on problems and ways of their settlement regarding school graduates in the ATO area receiving Ukrainian school certificates and regarding admission campaign-2015 for this category of children

The event took place on February 19, on the final day of registering for ZNO, in the information agency "Ukrinform".

Measures on facilitating procedure of DPA and ZNO, adopted by the Ministry of Education and Science, Ukrainian Center for Educational Quality Assessment in the result of social dialogue between the government and participants of the Public platform on reforming scientific sphere in Ukraine, initiated by NGO "Open Policy Fund" with support of the Committee on Science and Education, were discussed.  

Liliia Hrynevych said "Children from the occupied Donbas are in an extremely difficult situation. This regards graduates who want to receive a school certificate and enter Ukrainian higher education establishments.

We have to do everything to ensure such a possibility for them. In connection with this, a decision was made to continue for them registration for ZNO by April 20 and give them a chance to pass the Ukrainian language and literature on June 9".

Moreover, the Ministry of Science and Education approved and published on its web site a list of schools for remote external studies and implemented monitoring of boarding schools that have places for families of 11th-grade students and their families.

Negotiations are conducted with international organizations on providing educational, psychological, and humanitarian assistance to 11th grade students from ATO and their families.
