Committee members noted that the bills (Reg. No. 1742 and No. 1742-1), suggesting amend the existing and introduce several new terms in the sphere of domestic waste management, contradict provisions of two main European directives in the sphere of domestic waste management: Directive 2008/98/EC of November 19, 2008 “On waste and repealing certain Directives” and Directive 1999/31/EC “On landfill of waste”.

The people’s deputies did not agree with the proposals to the bills on introducing administrative responsibility for reluctance to conclude agreements with the respective legal person for providing services on domestic waste management.
