The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the Law “On Securing the Right to Fair Trial”

Legislative act lays legal foundation for carrying out judicial reform that should secure efficient protection of citizens’ rights and freedoms, as well as interests of legal bodies in a legal procedure and practical implementation of the right to fair trial.

The document provides a new version of the Law “On the Court Procedure and the Status of Judges” and amends the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Infringements, Economic Procedure Code, Civil Procedure Code, Code of Administrative Proceedings, Criminal Procedure Code, and the laws “On the Higher Council of Justice”, “On Access to Court Judgments” and “On Court Fee”.

The Law amends also the Law “On the Rules of Procedure of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine”.

The Law was adopted with consideration of technical legal corrections.

The bill was registered under No. 1656.
