The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted as a basis the draft law on amendments to article 197 of the Tax Code of Ukraine (re creating favourable conditions to ensure executing of state contracts on defence orders and agreements on supplying defence production)

The bill suggests exempting from VAT operations on transporting to the customs territory of Ukraine in the customs regime of import and on supply on the customs territory of Ukraine materials, subassemblies, equipment and components that are used for defence production provided such items are used under state contract on defence order or agreement on supply of defence production and that the end user is a state customer.
