Members of Standing Delegation of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in OSCE PA met with OSCE PA President Ilkka Kanerva

During the meeting, the Parties discussed participation of the Standing Delegation of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in OSCE PA, which will be held in February 18-20 in Vienna. Among the issues planned for discussion, the agenda includes a special discussion of the issue "on OSCE reaction to the crisis in Ukraine".

Special attention was paid to participation of members of parliamentary delegation of the Russian Federation in the 14th winter session of the OSCE PA. Chairperson of the Standing Delegation of the Verkhovna Rada in OSCE PA Artur Herasymov stressed that Ukrainian delegation intends to issue an appeal against authorities of a representative of parliamentary delegation Olha Kovitidi, whose presence as a representative of "executive authorities of the Republic of Crimea" is illegitimate, and according to the Rules of Procedure of the OSCE PA he passed a respective letter to the PA OSCE President.

The Parties also discussed the issue on the so-called "humanitarian convoys" and stressed the need to expand a mandate of OSCE Monitoring Mission at Russian checkpoints "Hukovo" and "Donetsk" at the entire territory of Ukrainian-Russian border which now is not controlled by Ukrainian government.
