The bill (Reg. No. 1145) suggests establishing mechanisms for the state banks to refinance troubled debts of commercial banks that arose on credit agreements in foreign currency, by supplementing the Law of Ukraine “On banks and banking” with a new article 56-1.
Committee members deem that it would be expedient to receive the opinion of the cabinet of ministers and the national bank of Ukraine regarding perspectives of this legislative initiative.
The Committee deems it expedient to refer the draft Law to the subject of legislative initiative for refinement.
