The Committee on Transport upholds the draft law on amendments to several legislative acts of Ukraine re reforming bodies of internal affairs

During the meeting on February 4, members of the committee considered the bill registered under No. 1550.

The people’s deputies, leadership of the Infrastructure Ministry, First Deputy Chairperson of the Internal Affairs Minister of Ukraine and representatives of “Ukrzaliznytsia” were in attendance at the Committee’s meeting.

The bill stipulates eliminating duplication of functions which can be traced in the activity of HUBOZ of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, transport and vet militia, as well as authorized bodies of internal affairs on children performing functions that come under the jurisdiction of criminal militia and public security militia.   

Following the results of consideration, the Committee addressed the specializing Committee with a proposal to recommend the Verkhovna Rada adopt the bill as a basis.
