Opening hearings, Chairperson of the Committee Roman Nasirov noted that
this event opens a series of meetings which the Committee will hold with
representatives of specialized bodies of executive power. “The past year was
extremely complicated. That is why we should take a look at the figures and plan
the work for the current year,” he stressed. Deputy Chairperson of State Fiscal Service Anatolii Makarenko reported on the results of activity of State Fiscal Service in the direction of implementing state customs policy, and on the main tasks the Service will face in 2015. Revenues to the state budget from foreign economic operations amounted to UAH 135,7 billion and equal 99,1%, while the shortfall makes up around UAH 1,2 billion.
“These figures would be higher, however, Ukraine found itself in a complicated situation that negatively influenced the budgetary process,” stressed government official.
A.Makarenko named annexation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea to be one of the main factors that negatively influenced the shortfall.
He said that the beginning of the year was a failure in connection with
the events on Maidan and due to the existence of illegal schemes for
importation of oil products, which amounted to more than UAH 3 billion of
loses. Commenting on budget revenues, Deputy Chairperson of State Fiscal Service noted that owing to the measures taken by the Government to eliminate such schemes, starting from the end of March the budget additionally received UAH 15 billion.
Participants of the hearings got acquainted with the results of activity of state fiscal bodies in regard to counteraction to smuggling and violation of customs rules in 2014, as well as with the main tasks in 2015.
The issue of determining customs commodity cost; introduction of
additional import duty; the state of work on combating corruption within the
customs bodies, as well as some other issues on refining the work of these
bodies were discussed during the hearings.
