The Committee on Human Rights, National Minorities and International Relations granted a hearing to the report “EU Advisory Mission for Civilian Security Sector Reform: Mission’s Mandate in Ukraine and prospects of cooperation with the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine” and considered several other issues

In the course of the meeting, members of the Committee granted a hearing to the report entitled “EU Advisory Mission for Civilian Security Sector: Mission’s Mandate in Ukraine and prospects of cooperation with the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine” that was presented by Alan Skurbaty, Human Rights Advisor, PhD in International Public Law (Lund University, Sweden), EU Advisory Mission for Civilian Security Sector Reform). 

It went about cooperation between the Committee and the Mission, particularly, in view of the problems with human rights protection and safety of the citizens of Ukraine.

In connection with this, Committee Chair Hryhorii Nemyria offered the Mission several suggestions.

Committee members recommended also that the Verkhovna Rada should reject the draft laws registered under No.1114, No. 1114-1 and No. 1245.

Apart from this, it went about holding parliamentary hearings on the problems of internally displaced people and observation of constitutional rights of the citizens of Ukraine residing in Crimea and on the occupied territory of Donbas.
