The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted as a basis the draft law on amendments to article 7 of the Law “On the Status of War Veterans and Guarantees of their Social Protection” (re injured in the course of protests)

 The bill (Reg. No. 1423) suggests entitling the right to grant the status of war veteran, stipulated by the Law “On the Status of War Veterans and Guarantees of their Social Protection”, to the persons who became disabled as a result of injuries or other damages to health received during mass actions of public protest in Ukraine starting from November 21, 2013 till February 21, 2014.

Authorities to determine the order of granting the status of war veteran, stipulated by the Law “On the Status of War Veterans and Guarantees of their Social Protection”, to the persons who became disabled as a result of injuries or other damages to health received during mass actions of public protest in Ukraine starting from November 21, 2013 till February 21, 2014 shall be delegated to the Cabinet of Ministers.
