Deputy Chairperson of the Committee Aliona Babak informed the guests about the Committee's activity, stressing the most topical bills the Committee is working on.
A.Babak claimed the Committee is also ready to consider legislative initiatives which are aimed at improving legislation on rent, water and heat supply, and water disposal.
In her words, there are a lot of initiatives aimed at simplifying procedures in construction and the Committee is getting ready to consider them.
One of Committee's priorities is energy efficiency and work of the private sector. The people's deputy informed the participants about the elaborated and considered bills under Reg. No. 1565 and No. 1566.
Director of USAID - Public Private Partnership Development Program (P3DP), Chairperson of the Expert Center for Public-Private Partnership and Infrastructure of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine Tetiana Korotka claimed that international companies are interested in public sector in Ukraine. In her words, one of the biggest investment attractive sectors is the housing and utilities sphere.
International experts are interested in Committee's members support of the bill on amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On Public and Private Partnership" (Reg. No. 1058).
Representatives of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine also claimed that business is interested in issues on developing ports, constructing roads, managing airports, etc.
Participants of the meeting also discussed the issue on developing Donetsk and Luhansk Oblasts.
Deputy Chairperson of the Committee A. Babak informed that the Ministry of Regional Development, Building and Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine provided the Committee with information about governmental initiatives on development of those territories that are under control.
The people's deputies claim the most attractive for investments is the construction sphere.
Representatives of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine voiced the initiative to invite members of the Committee to participate in the round table discussion where together with businessmen and entrepreneurs they will discuss a wide range of issues.
