Under the bill (Reg. No. 1405), it is planned to establish that publicity of meetings of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is secured by means of a full-scale online broadcasting of open plenary meetings of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine committees, and by means of posting information on the official websites of the Verkhovna Rada Committees.
Adoption of the bill is aimed at establishing favorable conditions for openness and public activity of parliamentary committees. Following the results of discussion and within the competence of the Committee, the decision was taken to address the specializing Committee on Rules of Parliamentary Procedure and Support to Work of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine with a suggestion to recommend the Parliament adopt the bill in the first reading as a basis.
The Committee considered also the decision of the National Television and Radio Broadcasting Council of Ukraine regarding issuing a warning to “Ekspreso-TV” channel for the re-broadcast of the address of the President of the Russian Federation V.Putin to the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.
