The Committee on Matters of Veterans and Persons with Disabilities considered the draft law on the State Budget of Ukraine for 2015 and stressed the necessity of a full funding for budgetary rehabilitation programmes and prosthesis treatment of ATO participants

During the meeting on December 24, the Committee considered the draft law on the State Budget of Ukraine for 2015 (Reg. No. 1000), referred by the Cabinet of Ministers.

The Committee made proposals regarding increasing expenditures on budgetary programmes stipulating measures of psychological rehabilitation and professional adaptation of ATO participants, and on providing the disabled with technical means for rehabilitation –prosthesis treatment.

“It is understandable that there is no money in the state budget, however, such social rehabilitation programmes, as well as prosthesis treatment of ATO participants needs to be finances in full,” said the Committee Chair Oleksandr Tretiakov.

It was noted that there is a need in additional UAH 262 million in order to finance these expenditures. The Committee suggested involve alternative sources to cover these expenditures.
