Committee Chair Serhii Pashynskyi noted that defense expenditures in the bill “are a compelled compromise that meets the needs of the Armed Forces and other structures.”

Serhii Pashynskyi noted also that the draft State Budget for the next year does not stipulate the increase in expenditures on any budgetary programme, except for defense.

Committee Chair informed that the Cabinet of Ministers generally suggests allocating more than UAH 60 billion to the defense and security, and UAH 6 billion to state guarantees for the procurement of armament and military equipment.

Committee members considered and discussed expenditures on the defense and security sector suggested by the Government.

Attention was attached to the necessity of increasing funding of the State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection.
