To the employees of energy sector of Ukraine
Dear employees of energy sector!
Let me congratulate you on the occasion of your professional holiday – the Day of Energy Worker!
The outgoing year was complicated for the country at large and for the energy sector in particular. Energy recourses turned to be weapon of political pressure. Ukraine faced aggression that has been dubbed an energy war.
In the situation of partial blockade of energy resources, it is extremely complicated for Ukrainian energy workers to provide people with heat and energy in full. It is only due to your professionalism and responsibility that the situation with the operation of energy system remains under control.
Gradual reforming of energy sector has begun. The state made several market moves in order to stimulate enterprises and population of Ukraine to introduce modern energy-efficient technologies and start using alternative sources of energy. I hope that joint work of authorities and energy workers will become even more efficient since our task lies in the soonest possible minimization of Ukraine’s dependence on external energy resources.
I am convinced that you selfless work, many years’ experience and professionalism will allow our country to come out of a difficult situation honourably.
