Chairperson of the Committee on Foreign Affairs Hanna Hopko met with Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Israel to Ukraine Eliav Belotserkovski

During the meeting, which was held upon request of the Israeli Party, the Parties discussed current political situation in Ukraine and stressed the necessity of supporting active dialogue between Ukraine and the State of Israel.
H.Hopko spoke in favour of further development of interparliamentary relations between two countries and answered the questions on prospects of work of the Ukrainian Parliament and the Committee on Foreign Affairs.
Eliav Belotserkovski got the Chairperson of the Committee acquainted with internal political situation in the State of Israel and informed her about preparation for parliamentary elections in the State of Israel planned for March 17 of the next year. He particularly stressed the activation of bilateral cooperation at the humanitarian and economic levels and the necessity of expanding and deepening the interregional cooperation, first of all, in the sector of agricultural complex, high technology business, medicine, and tourism. E.Belotserkovski noted the need to hold joint exhibitions, seminars, business forums, and other events in different regions of Ukraine that are of mutual interest and provide assistance to entrepreneurs of both countries in searching and establishing business relations and expressed hope for further negotiations on concluding Agreement on free trade between Ukraine and the State of Israel.
Attention was paid to the issue on holding days of Ukrainian culture in Israel and days of Israeli culture in Ukraine in 2015.
Moreover, the Embassy of the State of Israel in Ukraine has started working on opening the rehabilitation centre on providing first aid treatment to the injured in the East of Ukraine.
