Chairperson of the Committee on Foreign Affairs Hanna Hopko met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania in Ukraine Petras Vaitiekunas

The meeting was held at request of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania in Ukraine on the occasion of completing his diplomatic mission in Ukraine.

At the meeting, the Parties discussed the current status of Ukrainian-Lithuanian relations and stressed the need to activate interparliamentary dialogue between Ukraine and the Republic of Lithuania.

Chairperson of the Committee Hanna Hopko claimed the development of contacts at the interparliamentary level will promote further development of bilateral relations at political, economic, and humanitarian levels. In this context, she stressed the need to activate the work of respective interparliamentary deputy friendship group with the Republic of Lithuania.

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania in Ukraine stressed that bilateral Ukrainian-Lithuanian relations are characterized by significant potential and prospects of further development and expressed hope for further cooperation.
