The Committee on Family Matters, Youth Policy and Sports discussed prospects of joint legislative work with respective sectoral ministries

Opening the Committee's meeting, its Chairperson Artur Palatnyi claimed that efficient cooperation of the Committee with the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine and the Ministry of Social Policy in the sphere of improving legislation and ensuring control over adherence to legislative norms should ensure stable development of the state youth policy and the sphere of physical culture and sports, proper support of families with children, orphans, and children derived of parental care.

A.Palatnyi drew attention of all the present to the necessity of ensuring a truly democratic discussion of ways of reforming the sports sphere. The Chairperson of the Committee stressed the need for strengthening state support of families with children, first of all, internally displaced persons from Donetsk and Luhansk Oblasts and large families, improving legislation on adopting orphans and children derived of parental care.

Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine Ihor Zhdanov and Minister of Social Policy Pavlo Rozenko made their speeches during the meeting.
