The Committee on Culture and Spirituality considered several draft resolutions and other agenda issues

The following draft resolutions were discussed:

- on awarding the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Prize to the most talented young researchers in the sphere of basic and applied research and scientific and technical developments for 2013;

- on awarding nominal scholarships of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for the most talented young researchers in 2014;

- on approving candidates for receiving annual Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Prize for pedagogic staff of comprehensive, vocational and technical, pre-school, and out-of-school educational establishments;

- on adopting Recommendations of parliamentary hearings entitled "Education, healthcare, and social insurance of children with psychophysical dysfunctions: problems and ways of their solution"; 

- on amendments to the Annex to the Resolution of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of December 4, 2014, No. 22-VIII "On electing chairpersons, first deputy chairpersons, deputy chairpersons, secretaries, and members of committees of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the eighth convocation".

The Committee also considered the draft law on amendments to the Budget Code of Ukraine (in connection with adopting the Law "On Higher Education").

Moreover, the Committee adopted and upheld the draft law on amendments to article 26 of the Law "On Military Duty and Military Service" re military men who are full-time students or postgraduates (Reg. No. 1175-1).
