MPs of Ukraine participated in the inauguration meeting of the informal group of friends "Ukraine-EU" in the European Parliament

Inauguration meeting of the informal group of friends "Ukraine-EU", established by the deputies of the European Parliament and the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, took place in Brussels in the European Parliament. This informal group includes 50 people's deputies.

Chairpersons of the group are Ivanna Klympush-Tsyntsadze and Ostap Semerak. Iryna Herashchenko, Mariia Ionova, Olena Sytnyk, and Oleksandr Prysiazhniuk also participated in the first inauguration meeting.

The deputies exchanges thoughts on the situation in the Donbas and upheld suggestion of Petras Austrevicius to activate humanitarian dialogue and hold special hearings in the committee on foreign affairs of the European Parliament on the situation of respect for human rights in the annexed Crimea and Donbas.

Among its key tasks, the interparliamentary group of friends "Ukraine-EU" determined the consolidation of political forces of the European Parliament and the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, further integration between Ukraine and the EU, etc.  

Ukraine's Representative to the EU K.Yelisieiev participated in the inauguration meeting of the group of friends.

In Brussels, in the building of the European Parliament, within "the Ukrainian day" an exhibition "Donbas: war and peace", where photographs of the best Ukrainians photographers were presented, was held.
