The Committee on Human Rights, National Minorities and International Relations jointly with Women's Information Consultative Center to hold round table discussion: “Bangkok Rules protecting the rights of women prisoners” (18/2 Hrushevskoho st., room 12).
It is planned to discuss a number of issues regarding the existing situation and prospects of practical implementation of the UN Rules for the Treatment of Women Prisoners and Non-custodial Measures for Women Offenders (the Bangkok Rules) that were approved by the Third Committee of the 65th UN General Assembly on October 6, 2010.
People’s deputies of Ukraine, representatives of central bodies of executive power, public and international organizations, mass media, as well as theme experts are invited to participate in the hearings.
