The NSDC decided to instruct the Ministry of Defence to reposition military unites located in the Crimea. This was announced by acting President of Ukraine, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov while opening the Conciliatory Council meeting on Monday.
Tonight provocations of the Russian Federation occupational troops in the Crimea against Ukrainian Armed Forces continued: particularly, Ukrainian marine unit located near Feodosia was attacked by military helicopters and airborne forces.
“There is a real threat to lives and health of our military men located in the Crimea, a threat of persecution and victimization of their relatives, of all patriots who keep fulfilling their duties to their country”, claimed Oleksandr Turchynov.
“The National Defence and Security Council decided to instruct the Ministry of Defence to reposition military unites located in the Crimea, and to instruct the government to evacuate families of the military facing threat to their lives and health”, said the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. “The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine was instructed to ensure placement of military men’s families, as well as of those forced to leave their homes under the pressure and aggression of the Russian occupational forces.”
