On February 17, a regular meeting of the Working Group on the preparation of comprehensive legislative proposals on the specifics of organizing and conducting elections during a special period and/or post-war elections in Ukraine was held. The meeting was broadcast online.
The event was traditionally chaired by Oleksandr Korniienko, First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, with the participation of representatives of parliamentary factions and groups, the Office of the President of Ukraine, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the Central Election Commission, law enforcement agencies, public organizations, and experts.
During the meeting, the subgroup's findings on ensuring the electoral rights of military personnel were presented. The positions of representatives of state authorities and members of the Working Group were heard.
The next meeting of the Working Group is scheduled for February 20, during which the findings and proposals of other subgroups will be considered.
The principles of work remain as open and transparent as possible.
