“From the first day of the invasion – ten years ago and two years ago – Turkey has been with Ukraine,” said the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, expressing gratitude to the President of the Republic of Turkey for his personal leadership and for his unwavering support of Ukraine's territorial integrity and sovereignty.

In addition, the Speaker of the Parliament of Ukraine expressed gratitude for the support of Ukraine on its way to the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation.

During the meeting, the parties discussed a number of important issues, including the implementation of the Peace Formula and the release of kremlin hostages.

“Further efforts, including those of Turkey, aimed at releasing prisoners of war and political prisoners of the kremlin, in particular, the First Deputy Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Nariman Celâl, remain important,” Ruslan Stefanchuk said.

He also expressed gratitude to Turkey for supporting the initiative and for the Turkish leadership in the implementation of the food security clause. “Ukraine seeks a fair and just peace, but not in exchange for its own territories,” said the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

At the same time, the Speaker of the Parliament of Ukraine said that Ukraine is looking forward to the personal participation of the President of Turkey in the Global Peace Summit.

For his part, the President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan noted the high level of cooperation between the two countries, an integral part of which is the interaction between the Turkish and Ukrainian Parliaments.

Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stressed that since russia's invasion of Crimea, Turkey has supported the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine. He also assured that large-scale support for Ukraine would continue.

Finally, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan noted that Turkey fundamentally supports the Peace Formula of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi.
